When typing hurts, talk.

Carpal tunnel, RSI, arthritis, a cast, a shoulder that's had enough. Your hands can rest. Tap one key, say it, and it's typed.

30 free minutes. No credit card required. Mac and Windows.

Built to need very little from your hands

It should sound like you

Add the names and words you use to the Dictionary once. If something keeps coming out wrong, tell JustSpeak what to write instead and it's quietly fixed every time. Clean mode drops the ums so you can think out loud.

20% off, no forms

If a disability or pain makes typing hard, email support@justspeak.live and we'll take 20% off any plan. You don't need to prove anything. A sentence is enough.

How it works

  1. Click where you want to write. An email, a document, a chat box, a form.
  2. Tap Ctrl + Space and talk the way you'd talk to a person.
  3. Tap it again. Your words appear where the cursor was, punctuation and all.

That's the whole app. The shortcut is yours to change, and you can hold it down instead of tapping if you prefer push-to-talk.

What it can't do yet

JustSpeak types; it doesn't control your computer. You still click to place the cursor and press Enter to send. If you need full hands-free control of the mouse and menus, the built-in Voice Control on Mac or Voice Access on Windows does that, and JustSpeak works alongside them for the typing part.

What it costs

Start with 30 free minutes, no card. After that it's $8 a month, $59 a year, or $99 once for life. Every paid plan is unlimited dictation on your own computers. If a disability or painful hands make typing hard, email support@justspeak.live and we'll take 20% off any plan.

Questions

Can I change the shortcut to something easier?
Yes. Pick any key combination in Settings. Some people choose a single function key so it's one finger.
Does it work for forms and web pages?
Yes. Any text box in any browser: forms, search boxes, comments, the address bar.
Does it need the internet?
Yes. Your recording goes to our speech partner, comes back as text, and isn't kept. There's no offline mode.
Is my audio stored?
No. Recordings are turned into text and then dropped. Keeping a history of your transcripts is optional and off by default.
How long can I talk in one go?
Up to ten minutes. At nine minutes a small notice warns you, and at ten JustSpeak types what you've said so far.
