Talk to your AI. Don't type at it.

Long prompts get better answers, and long prompts are a pain to type. Click into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, tap Ctrl + Space, and just explain what you want.

30 free minutes. No credit card required. Mac and Windows.

Why dictate prompts

When you type, you shorten. When you talk, you explain: the context, what you tried, what good looks like. That's exactly what these tools need. A two-minute spoken prompt is 250 words; most people wouldn't type that.

Works in the chat box, whatever the chat

Nothing in between

JustSpeak doesn't talk to the AI for you or rewrite what you said. It records while you hold or toggle the shortcut, types the words, and gets out of the way. You read it, hit Enter, and the conversation is yours.

How it works

  1. Click where you want to write. An email, a document, a chat box, a form.
  2. Tap Ctrl + Space and talk the way you'd talk to a person.
  3. Tap it again. Your words appear where the cursor was, punctuation and all.

That's the whole app. The shortcut is yours to change, and you can hold it down instead of tapping if you prefer push-to-talk.

What it costs

Start with 30 free minutes, no card. After that it's $8 a month, $59 a year, or $99 once for life. Every paid plan is unlimited dictation on your own computers. If a disability or painful hands make typing hard, email support@justspeak.live and we'll take 20% off any plan.

Questions

Does it work in the ChatGPT or Claude desktop apps?
Yes. Anywhere with a text cursor on your Mac or PC, including the desktop apps and the websites.
Does it work in a terminal?
Yes. Click into the terminal, dictate, and the text is typed at the prompt. You press Enter yourself.
Does it need the internet?
Yes. Your recording goes to our speech partner, comes back as text, and isn't kept. There's no offline mode.
Is my audio stored?
No. Recordings are turned into text and then dropped. Keeping a history of your transcripts is optional and off by default.
How long can I talk in one go?
Up to ten minutes. At nine minutes a small notice warns you, and at ten JustSpeak types what you've said so far.
