JustSpeak is new, so Windows hasn't seen it many times yet and shows a warning the first time. That's normal for any new app. Here's exactly what to click.
- Download JustSpeak for Windows. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep (in Edge: click the ⋯ next to the download, then Keep, then Keep anyway).
- Open the downloaded file, JustSpeak-Setup.exe. A blue box says "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Click Next until the installer finishes, and leave Run JustSpeak ticked. Nothing to choose.
- JustSpeak opens. Type your email, and we send a 6-digit code to sign in. No password to remember.
- Then try it: click in any text box, tap Ctrl + Space, say something, and tap Ctrl + Space again. Your words appear.
Good to know
Closing the window doesn't quit JustSpeak. It keeps listening for your shortcut from the little icons at the bottom-right of your screen (click the ^ there to see it). To open the window again, open JustSpeak from the Start menu. To quit for good, right-click its icon and choose Quit JustSpeak.
If JustSpeak says it can't use the microphone, open Windows Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone and make sure Let desktop apps access your microphone is on.
